A conference retrospective is in process - the following has been retained for reference.
This year the Friday night Reception/Ice Breaker is a wonderful Beach BBQ and bonfire with live entertainment from Hula Girl Dance Productions. The show lasts two hours overall and the various components include 6-10 dancers in costume, a solo polynesian dancer, a DJ, and a fire dancer.

The Friday night BBQ Reception is included in all full conference registrations with meal packages which are purchased by the October 31st deadine.
Separate tickets ($45/ea) can be purchased for guests or partial-conference attendees if purchased in advance. The deadline for individual ticket purchases is November 6th.
Yes, there is a vegetarian option, which you can select at the time you purchase your ticket. The menu will be hamburgers, hot dogs, turkey burgers, and seasonal fruit. The webmaster is pretty sure this is a build-your own buffet line (so you control how much mayo, mustard, and onion etc.), and may also include fresh cookies for dessert, but is not 100% sure.
The Friday night reception is a great time to reconnect with friends and meet some of the presenters.
