Ollie Thompson

My passion for art began with my earliest memories and continued through my formal education. While teaching color and design my passion was regenerated upon discovering that sea mammals were seen as soulless creatures to be plucked from the sea like cabbage from rows of dirt. My passion grew from a murmur to an eruption. With singular intensity I began to create images of sea life in their family groups or pods. I feel that the obligation and responsibility of the environmental artist is to educate and inspire ever larger numbers of people to meaningful involvement for the preservation of our endangered friends of the seas. This is a challenge I meet eagerly.
